We woke up to sunshine and the ocean calling our name. After a quick breakfast and sunscreen application, we hit the beach. This time, being that much more beach aware, we didn't fall for the empty lounge chairs and instead, purchased and faced the daunting task of blowing up a few bright yellow water floaters. Slightly out of breath we laid out our towel and stayed for most of the afternoon. The waves were a bit dicey but we braved it. Unfortunately for Leann the waves won, tossed her down and left her a few battle wounds (aka: sand chafed behind). Ouchy! Seeming like a good time to call it quits for the day, we headed up to a seaside bar, La Cabana, for a drink. It was here that I fell victim to the deceiving "free bracelet" offer. I learned the hard way that “free bracelet” results in the guilty “I can’t just take this for free” thought which is quickly followed by the handing over of a few Euros. The uphill walk back to the hotel on this day was made that much easier with a stop off at a sea view patio where we shared a jug of Sangria, soaked up the last of the sun and boosted our spirits from our afternoon of me getting duped and Leann’s scraped tushy. Today, Leann also sampled her first Turron (nougat) flavoured ice cream while I enjoyed some Limon sorbet, in nothing less than a freshly made, chocolate dipped waffle cone.
