I am home, again. i mean i am at my new home. it feels like a home. i have a bed, a place to put my clothes, a huge window, my own toilet room, and Guyina and Anna made me my own blanket for my bed. This is much better than my Bukharan family. Anna is 9 months pregnant. She will give birth any day now. In fact, she dropped yesterday. So maybe when I get home, she will be on her way to the hospital. She is very ready to have the baby. She tells me so everyday. Narek is her three year old. he calls me America. Where is America? Where are you going America? I asked him what my name is and he said America. he is SO cute!! in the words of my village person, Kelsey, I just want to eat him up!! Last night all six of us volunteers living in Dilijan meet for dinner at the Georgian resturant. We drank wine out of wooden bowls called piolas. (that's what cups are called in uzbek) Tony and Eunice are A-12's and then there are 4 of us new A-13's. I knew Eunice lived close to me. i didn't realize that she lives literally a minute from me!! Jake is a volunteer who JUST finished his 2 year service. Eunice moved into his apartment. When Zack and i first arrived here, Zack stayed with jake. So, i believe i have seen everything that Zack has seen. Strange. Unlike last time, I have a two week vacation until i have to start work. I am so exhausted! Two psts in 7 months is a lot. I just want to sleep and sleep and sleep. I sleep about 10 hours a night but it just isn't enough yet. That's okay. it will get better. Yes, I do have internet access in Dilijan. Whew! Oh, swearing in... I wore the same outfit I wore for my last swearing in. i have also volunteered to help out with the next training. I am a sucker, i know. After swearing in, the current volunteers had a party for us at the PC office. and then, the current volunteers gave us all welcome gifts. After that, we went dancing at a pub called Cheers. So, I was able to dance and dance and dance. The next morning, we all got into Peace corps vehicles and were driven to our sites. My house is way on the other side from the main road. So, i got off at Sam's house and got a taxi. When I was dropped off, Anna was waiting for me. The taxi driver wanted to over charge me and Anna went off on the driver. Don't piss off a pregnant woman!! And then she kept talking about it all night. She told me it is because I am an American and they think they can get money out of me. Nice to know that she won't stand for that if she can help it. I heard from Debbie in Moldova!! And I got the pictures of Ann's wedding! I also got the package that my parents sent me! Thanks!! OH! Garbage. I haven't seen a garbage truck since I left america. This morning, i was sitting on the balcony studying when I heard a bell ringing. a man walked by ringing a bell. then Anna came out of the house and collected the garbage and waited up on the street. Then a truck came by and picked up the garbage. hmm. I miss my village people!! They told me how happy they are that i made it through a second pst. i miss them! Maybe I will see some of them next month because my sitemates and i wanna go to the wine festival down south next month. yeah!! and then two months after that, i can go on a trip out of the country! That's it for now. Talk to you soon! Take care! Laura

Our trip to Armenia on 2010 was the best location to spend our holidays.
My family and I, been to the capital city and some serounding cities too.
The country is full of contradictions, intresting & its something new to discover.
We could find the old churches amaizing, the Temple of
Garni and another church in Etchmiadzin too.
After a weak we have booked a tour to Dilijan city, Armenians cal it the little
Switzerland. I found Dilijan a special place which is not right to compare
with Switzerland or others. Dilijan was just Dilijan ! Very nice, foresty, humid,
with mild climate. It was a great place to forget the city croud and relax the mind.
We have been very upste for the poor services offered by the B&B service where we
stayed, "Dili Villa B&B" food was not fresh, almost all of us didnt eat there, the tour package
was in general a crap. rooms small, dirty and smelled awful. people there just cared to make
the greatest income from new commers. The only good thing in the hotel was the crispy Dilijan water !
Once we have been back to Yerevan, few days later we had to leave back home.
Our impressions in general are very posative, we had the chance to learn about a new but an old country
with its history and heritage.
Special thanks to all who supported us during our stay in Armenia.
