We checked out of Myrtle Beach early, as we knew we had a drive to catch a Ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher. As it happened we arrived 2 minutes before the Ferry left, it was good we did otherwise we would have had to wait over an hour for the next.
After a Ferry journey, we drove to the USS Battleship North Carolina were we spent a few hours touring. The Weather broke down while we were in the Ship and we sat it out on the Boat until it got a little better.
Finally we drove to Plymouth were we planned to spend the night. Though out of our way the Ferry Journey was very enjoyable, and a real hidden gem, for $5 for a car (about £3.50) a real bargain.
A few pictures from today's journey.
Lots of Love Les & Caroline xxxx
