We just spent a wonderful few days in Iquazu, which is the location of another national park, Iquazu Falls. It was a great day and definitely rates in our top three so far...

There were three different trails and walkways to experience the waterfalls from different vantage points. All were really impressive. The big one is called Devil's Throat. It was unbelievable to see the amount of water spilling over the sides. However, we both liked the others a bit more...they were not as big but the views were just amazing.

We took two boat rides. One was just a row boat through the jungle region of the park. We saw a mama caymen which was about 5 feet long and she was protecting a nest of eggs. We also saw some cool birds but that was about it.

Our second boat ride was a bit more fun. These boats were high powered speed boats that would drive into the falls where you would get absolutely soaked. We got to experience this madness twice. It was like a water ride in an amusement park. Really fun...

The other highlights was that we stayed at a very popular hostel in Iguazu. We ran into Dan and Lucinda, two friends from Australia that we celebrated Christmas with in La Paz, Bolivia from our GAP tour. Then, about two hours later, we reconnected with Linda and Niall from Ireland who were our bunkmates on the Navimag ferry in Patagonia. We had a great time catching up with both couples and hearing all of their stories. This hostel was huge and had a nice pool (actually used to be the casino in town). It was a fun time seeing other travelers AND we even ran into Fe who was on our horrible bus from La Paz to Uyuni on Christmas day! What a small, small world.

We ended South America with a great experience!!!
