So, yesterday, I took Neil & Vicky into our meeting room and broke the big news to them, that I'd be leaving in 8 weeks to head to Australia for a year. I cried and said I was sorry! They looked pretty shocked (and said they were upset), but that they were really happy for me for following my dreams.
I cried a bit more when I spoke to Wendy, Kathryn and Marissa! But quickly recovered after speaking to numerous people on the phone, telling them of my Aussie plans and my excitement quickly kicked back in.
I'll update the nice messages I got from Peppa and Lou on here on Monday. They were both so nice.
So, there we go. The next 8 weeks are going to be a crazy mix of running around like a headless chicken, sorting everything out, creating a 'Laura's Job' book and generally getting my work life sorted for some poor sod to take over! Haha!
I'm starting to feel nervous now, wondering if I'm doing the right thing, worrying about money, spiders and the rest!! But the travel blogs I'm reading and the photos I keep looking at are rising me above my nerves.
I'm really not wanting to wish the next 9 weeks away, but know that they'll fly by and 25th April will be here before I know it. I'm just not ready quite yet though!
