After breakfast we did several group activities. Later, we went to a local market that sold lots of fresh veggies, fruits, nuts and yummy bread. Shabbat (rest day where there is no work performed) starts Friday at sundown and continues until Saturday at sundown. Lots of people were out buying food before Shabbat began. There were so many people; it was chaotic. Then we stopped at an awesome view of Jerusalem, took some pictures and our guide told us interesting information about the city, its past and its borders.
We also went to the Western Wall, which was an awesome experience. I felt pretty out place, not actually being a Jew, but it was still great. There were lots of people there since it was Shabbat and it was neat seeing them all praying and chanting and singing and dancing.
When we got back to the hotel we had Hebrew class. We went through the alphabet and learned how to make vowels. In the end we all learned how to write our names in Hebrew, which was kinda cool.
