We"re happy to say we are half way there! We are leaving Dubai... plane is boarding.! The sun, as we approached Dubai, was so bright and clear until we landed and it seemed there was sand floating in the air! The airport was new and under renovation. Withhout so many men in white dress cottons and women in their black burquas and without theTHRONGS of soccer (football) fans, and the unforgettable 12 hour flight just endured, you may think you were still in the US.

The excitement in the air is palpable! Marcus is realizing a dream to attend the World Cup and the rest of us are just thrilled to tag along!! The whole Emerates flying experience was fantastic. A GIANT thanks to a special friend with the power to prescribe Ambien! The second leg, an 8 hour flight from Dubai to Durban was just a lovely nap! We have arrived safely at our Durban Guesthouse. Tomorrow, I will post pictures!

Hope you are all having fun. Am watching the World Cup here in the UK. Never felt this type of excitement over the World Cup in the States, its something else. Didnt dare go into a pub by myself to watch the England/USA game yesterday. Just cheered quietly in my apartment. Watching Germany; now up 4-0 just a few minutes left. Marcus- celebrate with a cold one.
