Finally made it out of Delhi train station with smiles and valid train tickets. It took all of my will-power not to dance with them through the clouds of touts hanging around outside the station!

Enjoyed a comfortable trip to Agra, but once we were there we were rickshaw-ed to the wrong state bank of India and understandably got lost when we followed our map towards our hotel which was in a completely different part of town near a completely different bank. We eventually found our resting place having been chased by rabid dogs and rickshaw men through the streets of Agra.

After a couple of days we egged up the courage to awake before dawn, put our boots on (like the killer in 'the end') and head to the Taj Mahal. As you can imagine it was an indescribable spectacle. Hopefully the addition of pictures to this travelogue will assist!

Agra is in no way as bad as people in Delhi will insist and it is certainly a nicer place than Delhi itself. A little stroll south of the Taj Ganj takes you into a dreamy world of chattering children, men recycling everything from metal panels to dead animals and smiling women washing their doorsteps. A word of warning, it is very easy to get lost here and no-one speaks English, so take a compass (seriously)!
