Conditional Flights
I had bought a flight from Ushuaia with a company called LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado). It was the cheapest one, and for a reason. They flights are "conditional", which means, they might flight, or not! So you buy the ticket, and they tell you that you have to confirm the flight 24 before departure, to see if it has been cancelled, but if it hasn't, it might be cancelled in these 24 hours! They then book you on another flight, usually on the same day, if there are any spaces on another flight company. Surreal...
I helped this german woman to understand it, as someone was trying to explain her all this in spanish, which she couldn't speak. It is hard to explain a german that there is 50% posiblities that the flight she bought 1 month in advance will be actually leaving, or not!
Perito Moreno Glacier
A glacier is a large persisten body of ice that forms where the accumulation of snow exceeds its ablation over many years, often centuries.
Perito Moreno is the most dynamic and accessible glacier in the world. It's got up to 60 meters ice peaks, and they keep falling and causing huge splashes and icebergs. It's 35 km long and 5 km wide. And it's advancing!
Juliette and me went to see it together, and spend a few hours admiring it. You can't belive all this extension of white land is Ice!

La siguiente parada después de Ushuaia era El Calafate, famoso por el glaciar Perito Moreno, a 78km de distancia del pueblo.
Vuelos condicionales.
Había comprado un vuelo desde Ushuaia con una compañía llamada LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado). Era el más barato, y con razón. Los vuelos son "condicionales", lo que significa que puede que salgan, o no! Así que compras el billete, y te dicen que tienes que confirmar el vuelo 24 horas antes de la salida, por si se hubiera cancelado, pero si aún no ha sido cancelado, existe la posibilidad de que lo cancelen en esas 24 horas! Entonces te ponen en un vuelo de otra compañía, normalmente en el mismo día, siempre y cuando hayan espacios disponibles, claro. Surrealista...
Intenté ayudar a una señora alemana a comprendedro, mientras alguien de la compañía estaba intentando explicárselo en español. Es complicado explicarle a un alemán que el vuelo que compró hace un mes, puede que salga, o no!
Gaciar Perito Moreno.
Un glaciar es una gruesa masa de hielo que se origina en la superficie terrestre por acumulación, compactación y recristalización de la nieve durante muchos años, normalmente cientos de años.
Perito Moreno es la glaciar más dinámico y accesible del mundo. Tiene picos de hasta 60 metros de alto, que caen en el agua causando icebergs. Tiene 35km de largo y 5 de ancho. Y sigue avanzando!
Juliette y yo fuimos a verlo juntas, y pasamos un par de horas admirándolo. No te puedes creer que toda esa extensión blanca sea hielo!
