Gotta love Will Smith, everytime someone said "Welcome to Miami" I wanted to start singing :o)

Miami is so... square! I've never seen an american city before but from the air it looks so bizarre. Endless blocks of identikit houses all in perfect rows, and the business district rising up out of it like an old-school 3D computer animation. And all the roads are straight and wide, and I could see all the massive american trucks driving down them. Think iv seen too many movies cos that was way more exciting than trucks should be!

I like Miami, its full of Americans (duh!). They're all really polite and call me Ma'am which is funny. And the customs guys were suprisingly friendly, he even smiled!

Also lots of spanish there, all the airport staff seemed to be billingual. I hadn't realised quite how prolific it was.

Not much to say really, I was only there 2 hours! Actually 3, the plane was an hour late taking off. Flight from London was fine, the 10 hours passed very quickly. Watched a couple of films (inc Shrek 3), some comedy shows, Life on Mars, some other drama... and slept a lot. The time difference was really messing with me though and by the time I got on the plane to Lima I was soo tired, I literally slept through the whole flight including the hour we had to wait on the ground before taking off. Woke up briefly to eat and drink in a daze then fell asleep again.

So on to Lima! xx
