On Tuesday night Ron and I were going over our travel itinerary and realized we were not going to have enough time in the Black Hills of South Dakota. There is a lot to see there and we don't want to rush through it. The beauty of car travel is that you are able to adjust your schedule as you need. So...we worked hard to get everything together, changed the trailer pick up day and the relevant campground reservations and hit the road a day early. At 4:00 pm we rolled away from our house and are now 31 miles from our first campground, Clear Creek State Park in western PA. We should be there by 10 pm. Clara is asleep and Serena is explaining to Ron just how horrible the Disney show "Dog with a Blog" is. That discussion inspired by my current activity. Tomorrow is our longest driving day--should take about 11 hours to get to the next reserved campground in Wisconsin. Good news is that we will cross into the Central Time Zone and tomorrow will be a 25 hour day for us!

Our trailer is awesome and cozy and I look forward to sleeping in it tonight. We'll see how long that lasts.

Quote of the day--
Ron: "Every time I look in the rear view mirror I see wolves. It's a little unsettling." (see attached photo)

Miles driven = 332

Had Subway sandwiches for dinner. (This is notable only because Serena is crazy for Subway so we are keeping track of how many we visit.)

Copy you loud and clear, Conestoga. Safe travels.

(I decided you needed a cool mission name, so I'm going with "Conestoga").
