We left Melbourne in the morning, did a quick shop and headed down to Port Campbell which is a little town by the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road, it took about 3 hours to drive down. We went for a little walk around the campsite and town and took advantage of the free hotdogs that were being given out in the campsite. We then spent the rest of the afternoon setting up camp and sorting out the campervan which we have brought off Lee and Amy (The campervan is called Betty).

Our stay in Port Campbell was quite a relaxed one. We spent most of our week here chilling out on the beach, reading our books and swimming. Alex swam out to the pier most days and jumped in. While we down in this part of the world we went and looked at some of the natural wonders which make up part of the Great Ocean Road. We went to see the 12 Apostles, London Bridge, The Arch and the Grotto, all limestone cliffs which have been created due to sea erosion. Very beautiful natural sights.

We also went for a walk around the cliff top at Port Campbell one day when the weather was not really beach weather. It was probably about a 5km walk with some lovely views of the bay and Port Campbell.

The people on the campsite have been really friendly, I think we must scream poor travellers, we have been given saugages and burgers by one family, coffee, hot chocolate and timtams (Australias version of Penguin Biscuits). They are really sweet and interested in our trip.
