We arrived in Hastings about noon, and Brian and Kaylene arrived about 5:00 so we meet for dinner and made plans for the next day.

Kaylene picked me up and we head over to her best friend - Amy, for one more crafts project before the wedding.

Larry and Brian head out to do a little sightseeing while Kaylene, Amy, Justine, and I spend most of the afternoon making button garland. Sounds easy, but was a little more time consuming than we had thought.  It turned out really cute, we all told Jordan that there would be no button garland in her future.

Brian and Larry drove over to the WWII Naval Ammunition Depot.  It was undescribable - 48.7K acres, 35 square miles of bunkers and assembly buildings that are for the most part are still there that were built in eight months.  They built and assembled almost every naval munition used by the Navy during the War - aircraft, ship and submarine.  Stats - 10K workforce, 207 miles of rail, 2,207 buildings, 57 miles of fencing, 274 miles of roads, 12 water wells, 88 miles of water mains, 67 miles of electrical lines, 17 miles of natural gas lines.

We then drove by the bulding where Kool Aid was started and the Hastings Railroad Station.  After that, we checked out the Hastings Museum and learned more about the Kool Aid story.
