Where I stayed
Napa Expo RV Park
It was somewhat windy when we left Santa Nella/Los Banos, but not too bad. At least Larry and I didn't think so. As we headed down some switch back roads along with the wind, Molly started moving around. I'm watching her and said I think she is going to be sick, sure enough she heads to the back. where she never goes when we are on the road, and got sick. First time I've had a dog get car sick - poor baby. Needless to say, she was happy to arrive in Napa.
When we got into the RV park, we were pleasantly surprised to see that South Loafers Bill and Kathy Sonennberg where there and we were parked next to them.
It is so nice and cool here. We sat outside last night and actually had to get sweaters. Love it!!!!
Tuesday morning we headed out to do some wine tasting. Larry had just finished a book called "Judgment of Paris" which is about a wine competition that took place in 1976 between California and France. If you are into wine, it is an interesting book. So we decided that we would check out some of the wineries that this book is about and a few others. The first stop is St Supery Winery. This one is not in the book, but we had been here years before and wanted to visit it again. The drive over is beautiful and even for a Tuesday it was busy. Next we went to Heitz Cellars Martha's Vineyard. Next stop was at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, They were the first place winner for reds in Paris and the same wine has held its own in the repeat competitions in 1996 and 2006. Which shows that the CA wine’s do hold up to age. Our last stop today was at Clos Du Val Winery.
