Kutna Hora was an interesting day trip. The town itself was unimpressive, especially the mining museum. Quaint and nice, but nothing overly special (I'd encourage tourists to venture into Moravia or Western Bohemia instead of visiting Kutna Hora itself). The Church of St. Barbara looked magnificent from the outside, but we could not go in because a wedding was being held.
What made the trip worthwhile ws the visit to the famous Bone Church Ossuary outside of the city. Its interior is decorated with the bones of 40,000 human skeletons because the church cemetary ran out of consecrated ground in which to bury people during the black death. It is honestly one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen.
