We arrived at Cathedral Peak Hotel around 15:00 on 19 November, after about a four hour drive from Johannesburg. The wet weather made driving down a bit of a nerve-racking event, but once we arrived we immediately started relaxing.

Cathedral Peak Hotel caters for families in a spectacular way:

1. There is a separate Children's Dining Room which is open for breakfast from 7:00 to 9:30 and for supper from 17:30 until 21:30.
2. Pony rides for the little ones and horse rides ranging from beginner to advanced
3. A large number of walking routes
4. A climbing wall, a playground for children, badminton court, tennis court, three different swimming pools, a games room

The room we were booked in was a Deluxe family room and the children had their own room and we had our own room, complete with two separate televisions. Our room walked out onto a patio and we had a fantastic view of the Drakensberg mountains surrounding us!

On both Friday and Saturday evenings we arranged for babysitters so that we could relax with friends and Cynthia did a marvelous job of looking after the children.

We were sorry to leave on Sunday and we will certainly be returning for a longer stay!
