WOW, WE GOT TO GO TO PIGEON FORGE, TENN,
AGAIN, AT CHRISTMAS TIME. IT SNOWED IN
PIGEON FORGE A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE WE
WERE TO LEAVE. NO WAY, WAS I GOING TO
CANCEL. THE DAY WE WERE TO LEAVE, WE
FOUND,  ALL THE MAIN ROADS WE WERE
TRAVELING ON WERE PASSABLE.  SO, OFF TO
PIGEON FORGE AND GATLINBURG WE GO.
WHEN WE LEFT IT WAS COLD HERE AT HOME
BUT IT DID GET, TO MY SURPRISE,  MUCH COLDER.
IT WAS SO DIFFERENT DRIVING INTO SIVEREVILLE.
THIS CITY HAS GROWN EVEN MORE AND IT WAS
COVERED WITH SNOW. WE FOUND THE CABIN AND
UNPACKED; SETTLED MEME AND CECE IN AND
TOOK OFF TO GO EAT. WE CAME BACK AND
SETTLED IN.  NO CARDS THIS NIGHT.  THE CABIN WAS
BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN AND WARM ALL EXCEPT FOR;
YOU KNOW WHAT? THE INDOOR POOL. YOU GET
IN THE POOL AND YOU HAD TO HURRY TO THE
HOT TUB TO WARM UP. WHAT MEMORIES WE
MADE ON THIS TRIP. NOW AS I AM WRITING, I BET
THE LORD LAUGHED AT US! YOU KNOW WHY?
IT WAS FREEZING OUTSIDE.  IT IS JUST A SHORT,
SHORT WALK TO THE HOT TUB.  (I SHOULD SAY
RUN TO THE HOT TUB.) HUBBY LOOKED LIKE HE
WAS  A HOT FOOTING IT ALL THE WAY.  HE WAS
THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD TAKE THE LID OFF. I
DID NOT DARE LAUGH, EITHER. THE FIRST NIGHT
IT WAS 20 DEGREES. GUESS WHAT HAPPENED
WHILE WE WERE SITTING IN IT. IT STARTED
SNOWING! YES, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED
ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE...SO NEAT.
ANOTHER NIGHT WHILE SITTING IN THE HOT TUB
(IN 36 DEGREE TEMP) WE COULD SEE THE
BEAUTIFUL SKY AROUND US.  THE SKY WAS
CLEAR YOU COULD SEE SOME OF THE
CONSTELLATIONS..THE MOON WAS OUT BUT WE
COULD NOT SEE IT..THREE TIMES WE SAW A
LIGHT ZIP BY US.  OF COURSE, IT WAS AT A
DISTANCE. THIS SOMETHING ZIPPED LOW (BELOW)
THE TREE LEVELS. WE WERE NEVER  FEARFUL...
JUST KNEW IT HAD TO BE A SIMPLE REASON FOR
WHAT WE WERE SEEING.  WHATEVER THIS WAS...
IT WAS BIGGER THAN SOME KIND OF BUG.  DID NOT
THINK IT COULD BE A TREE OR GROUND BIRD.  IT
WAS TO LATE AND TOO COLD.  WE AGREED IT MUST
HAVE BEEN A BAT AND THE MOON LIGHT MUST
HAVE BEEN SHINING ON IT'S WINGS.  NEVER A
DULL MOMENT WHILE SERVING THE LORD. YOU
KNOW IT IS WONDERFUL SERVING THE LORD. HE
WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.
WE DID GO TO THE GATLINBURG STRIP BUT IT
WAS TOO COLD TO WALK IT, (I WILL MAKE A
SEPARATE ENTRY FOR THE TRIP INTO
GATLINBURG. WE DECIDED BEFORE WE LEFT
HOME THAT WE WOULD NOT GO TO DOLLY WOOD. .
IT IS A GOOD THING WE DID NOT. JUST TOO
COLD! NONE OF THE RIDES WOULD BE RUNNING.
WE WANTED TO TAKE THE MONEY WE WOULD
HAVE SPENT ON TICKETS AND FOOD THERE
AT DOLLYWOOD AND STAY FOR ONE MORE NIGHT.
ANYWAY,  FATHER, THANK YOU, THANK YOU,...
THANK YOU!!

OH, I BEAT HUBBY IN RUMMY; UP BY TWO!
