Battleview Orchards in Freehold is a farm that has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. There are many apple varieties (I counted seven, but there are more) and it was a fun day for the whole family as well as a day outside enjoying the weather.

Combine this adventure with a nice lunch in one of the many eateries on Rt. 18, a few stops along the several nurseries on the way and a fun family day has been had.

Oh, and the apple pie Cheri baked was delicious…
