The night moving swiftly on we turned off the interstate at Lake Charles just short of the Texas border in search of food and accomodation. Once again Penelope was pointing us in all the wrong directions for dinner, one time even at a church. Bad Penelope!
Near one such failed destination we stopped at a cigar store where the helpful clerk, who had that familiar herby smell (and Laura said reminded her of Dan), pointed us towards the location of a O'Charlie's. Desperate for a green food, never so much in my life have I craved leaves, we eagerly set off.
By this point we may have well just been on crack. We didn't know where we were, what we were doing, and I (Allen) kept singing inappropriately modified Britney Spears lyrics. A fresh dinner certainly helped.
Slightly revived we headed to the our most luxury of luxury accomodations, the Treasure Inn, just off exit 32 from Interstate 10, right next to Motel 8.
A swift check in and we headed to room 217 and managing not to touch as few of the surfaces as possible, conduct a skanky photoshoot to complete the experience. A night in the sub-arctic followed, sleeping fully clothed.
