Walk, don't take a bus, up the hill from santa elena to bosque eterno de los ninos! This is on the way to monteverde...on sunday there is no bus, so the hike is nice and quiet and I got to see some funny little ground creatures, the tiniest frog ever, forest chickens or something, and lots of mariposas! The best was mariposa morpho, grande y azul!

I encourage a walk up the hill cause if you ride the the bus, you will miss art house monteverde, art galleries in general, Stella's super supreme bakery where they don't speak english despite the english name and CASEM, local women's artisan coop where you can buy handmade awesome things to take home and the money goes right back to the local community. I bought some cards drawn by children for $1 each and the entire $1 goes back to the children! The woman at the store said the kids are so excited about it because they say it is their first job. Way cooler than a post card! Plus, the envelopes the come with are made of 100% coffee plant

If you don't walk up the hill you may also miss a super awesome view of the pacific gulf!!!

Ok, I have to get up tomorrow at 3am to catch the 4 20am bus to puntarenas, get off at the freeway, little place called irma, catch an expensive transnica bus accross the boarder and head to isla ometepe! pura vida!

p.s. I took a cold shower with a tarantula today...
