Dear Diary.
Today is March 15th and I am going on my trip to Rome. I started off with $5,500 (not that much money but I have to manage). I bought my plane tickets from Northwest Airlines for $824.44, and my hotel (which I would be staying for 7 days and 8 nights) for $171.98 which brought my total to $4,503.58. The hotel in which i would be staying is the Aran Mantegna in Rome, Italy.
I departed for my trip at 10:10 am. The food on the plane was okay (in my opinion). The travel flight took 2 hours to complete. I arrived in Rome at exactly 12:30 pm. I took the Romanian taxi to my hotel, which didn't cost anything but $20 (I am now at 4,483.58).  The ride to the hotel was a 42 min ride. I checked into my hotel room at about 1-1:20 pm. The room was beautiful and well organized.
After I got settled into my hotel, it was time for me to start my day. I decide to visit the Coliseum. I found out that the Coliseum was a 56 min walk from my hotel, so I decided to walk the first day to enjoy the view. The walk took me 56 min but along the way i got a chance to do some great site- seeing. When I got to the Coliseum it was even beautiful then in the pictures. I honestly dint think that I would really like the Coliseum because the building looked so old and nasty in the pictures, but it was truly a great experience to look and walk around it.

Dear Diary,
It is now March 16th, the 2nd day of my journey through Rome. I am going to start off by going to visit the Spanish Steps! It was so beautiful! I really enjoyed being there. To me it was like traveling back through time. Since it was the evening I bought me a hamburger which cost me about $5, and sat on the Spanish Steps and looked at everybody there. It was kind of fun sitting on the steps and having me some lunch. Besides the fact that the sun was directly in my face it was nice. After I left the Spanish Steps I just walked around for a minute admiring Rome's beauty. After I got thriought basking in Rome's glory, I wanted to call it a night, so I went to the hotel.
                                                           Sincerely,
                                                                 Lil Lady

Dear Diary,
Today is know March 17th, the third day of my journey through Rome. I decided to only visit one historical site today instead of two. I'm going to visit the Forum. The cab ride there took 9 minutes and I had to pay $5 just for the ride. The Forum was the most exciting one to me. While standing in the forum I was thinking like I am in the "center" of Rome. The Forum is were almost everything took place: military campaigns, criminal trials, internal politics discussions, etc. Its like you can hear everything that goes on as if you were there three thousand years ago. Its a wonderful experience, well one of the best experiences to me.
                                                               Sincerely,
                                                                    Lil Lady

Dear Diary,
It's March 18th, the fourth day of the trip. The time is now 4:26 pm when I started heading over to the Trevi Fountain which is one of the reasons why i decided to travel to Rome.I decided to take a cab over to the fountain instead of walking. The drive took about 5 min.. I arrived at the Trevi Fountain around 4:31pm. The first thing I did when I got to the fountain was took out a coin, made a wish, and then through it in the fountain. It felt so good to do that because I have been anxious to get here and toss that coin into the fountain. The fountain is just so wonderful to look at because of its perfections carvings and detail in the statues face and body posture. If you look at it, you might just be able to understand exactly what that statue or "person" is thinking. Now that takes good craftsmanship.
After I left the Trevi Fountain I went to this restaurant named El Restaurant`e. I have heard from all my other friends that went to Rome, that this was the place to go if you wanted to taste the best pizza in the world. I wanted to go myself to she this was true, because the best pizza in the world to me was Home Run Inn. I ordered me a medium sized pepperoni pizza. I HAVE TO ADMIT, this was the best pizza that I have ever taste before in my life. It was what I would call a perfect pizza. It was as the sauces, cheese, and pepperoni just magically blended together PERFECTLY. After eating all the pizza I was tired. It was time for me to call it quits so I took a taxi to my hotel. At the end of the day I still had spent $35.50, which brought my total to $4,448.08. That was day 1 of my journey through Rome.
                                                            Sincerely,

Dear Diary,
March 19th, the fifth day of the journey, I deided to go to Pantheon. I took a cab over to the Pantheon which cost about a good $10 or so. As I stood I outside I was thinking that the building can collapse at any minute. It looked so old and destructive, but when I walked into the inside I was amazed. The craftsmanship was just beautiful. The best part about being inside the Pantheon is when I stood right in the center and let the light from the opening in the ceiling hit me in the face. It felt so good to do that. The inside of the building makes it look like it was done like a couple of years ago , it's just a wonderful site to see. I went to the Castle Sant' Angelo Museum, which was only 13 min. away. It's a lot of things u can learn about a certain historical monuement once you visit it. I didn't no that the Castle was originally buit as a round tomb for Hadrian Emperors. I found out that the Romans turned the tomb into a castle, during the middle ages, to defend Rome. it's a lot you can learn about a city and its monuements once you actually go there.
                                            Sincerely,
                                                 Lil Lady
