We went to look for the other water fall today; all we knew was that it was in a place called Ontika. We drove down the road it should have been on, couldn't see it, turned around, went back a bit, couldn't see it, turned around and went to a shop we had seen. We went in and asked if the sales lady spoke English, to which she answered 'yes', then we asked if she knew where the water fall was, to which she answered 'yes', and then pointed across the road and said 'see the track, it is there'. Well where was the sign! We felt a little silly, but there you go.
It didn't have much water coursing through it, but it was quite high. You could also see the different layers of rock down the cliff face and it all looked quiet lovely. We now had the task of driving back to the other side of Estonia to a place called Haapsalu
The sat nav doesn't really work that well out here either, it has the major roads and the capital in it, but other then that it shows you on a blank screen. We have had to invest in some maps, and this also means that I have a job to so while Dave is driving! Damn sat nav! Despite this we arrived to Haapsalu with out a problem. It is a small town on wet lands like area, meant to be good for bird watching; we came here really because the lady at the tourist office said too. It wasn't a bad town, but there isn't much there.
The wind had followed us from the north coast so it didn't make for fun walking along the promenade, but we had a nice walk, and stopped to have the cheapest meal ever, two huge plates of pork schnitzel and salad and chips for about 12 Euros, quiet tasty. The most memorable thing about Haapsalu was the camp site, it was very basic, but when we booked in and told the lady we were from Australia she gasped and repeated Australia in a surprised manner. The next thing we know a little Australian flag was put up along with the German and Finish flags. It was quiet touching; we didn't think they would have one.
