On the 2nd we woke up and headed back to the States.  There was a bit of a traffic delay at the boarder which put us an hour or so behind schedule.  Luckily coming back to the US was much easier than leaving.

Our first stop was Seattle, Washington.  I had really been looking forward to this city.  We only had a few hours so Bryce made sure that I saw the most popular attractions.  I went up in the Space Needle (from Men in Black I) and we checked out the famous Pikes Fish Market.  The flowers and produce were amazing at the market and most things were being sold at a very reasonable price. We also had time to squeeze in another round of Sushi.

After Seattle we drove down to Portland, Oregon to stay with Bryce's friend Grant. Grant had a great weekend planed for us, and the first event was an hour after we arrived. :) We checked out a very cool bar downtown.  The area felt a lot like downtown Wilmington . We had a great time people watching and listening to the live music!

The next day we headed to the river front to the Portland Blues festival.  Grant says it is the 2nd largest Blues festival next to Chicago.  There were 4 big stages and thousands of people.  The music was great! After the festival we headed to some of Grant's friends place and grilled out.  We really loved Portland and all the people we met.

On the 4th we headed to Winston, Oregon.  One of Grant's good friend lives and works on his families wine vineyard right next to a river.  They were having a big camp-out/cook out party and were nice enough to invite some roadtrippers to join them.  It was a very beautiful place, tons of farmland and lots of fruit farms and vineyards in the area. We had a great meal, especially the cherry cobbler, and watched some amazing fireworks right over the grape vines.

The next day we headed back to Portland.  We decided to take it easy for the rest of the day. We laid by the pool for a while, went to a nice dinner and then rented a movie. It was another great day!
