Today was a great day.  I now know what a hostel is all about. This one is a big Victorian style house with dorm rooms, single rooms, kitchen, etc. But we are camping out back :)  Bryce insisted on putting up the circus tent.. but it turned out to be a great idea since there was a downpour.  Thanks for not listening to me ;)

After we checked in and put up the tent we drove to Chimney Rock Park. It was a very beautiful drive on a very curvy mountain road.  Before entering the park we visited Lake Lure. Reading a bathroom wall I learned that it is a man-made lake in the shape of a cross. It is also surrounded by mountains. Beautiful.  We walked around a bit, found 2 smiling pups on a mission, wouldnt even give us the time of day.

Chimney Rock was very cool too. You take a long elevator ride up to the top and can take a number of trails back down the mountain. While we were exploring it started thundering and lightening. We sat under a rock for a while and took in the beautiful surroundings. We eventually ventured out and got soaked. So soaked that even our underwear was wet. But it was still a great time! We also got to see a 404 ft waterfall. It was amazing!

Ill post pictures soon!! Love you guys!!
