Where I stayed
From the StovePipe Well Hotel,Death Valley drove to the sand dunes of Death Valley.Walk in the sand for a while. The park ranger said the view of the dunes is nice in the late afternoon.
Drove to Ryolite,Nevada ,a ghost town. The history of the town was narrated by a volunteer. We found him in a house made of old glassbottles .We saw the ruins of stores, train station, bank ,etc.
Drove toward Beatty,Nevada, then North Las Vegas then drove north towards Utah.Passed a portion of Arizona state, with views of red rocks canyons.
Reach Bryce Canyon in the evening and booked in Ruby's Inn ,an institution in Bryce Canyon.
It is a gargantuan motel complex with groceries, pool, gas station, etc. It seems all the tourists of Bryce are there, at this time of the year. The workers seem to be all Eastern Europeans students.
