So here goes another day. I arrive before anyone else. I search for someone to let me into the room I am assigned. I get into the room but I can't get onto the computer. I go looking for someone to sign me on.

9:00, no one is here. 9:15 I go searching again. I finally find one of my victims, I mean staff I am to work with. We agree to meet back at my space at 10:00. I wait. 10:00 comes and goes. 10:30 I go searching again. I am lucky, I find my person right away. We discuss things for about 20 minutes, and then they have to go to a meeting. We agree to get together at noon. Noon arrives and guess who doesn't. I wait. I go searching. I find my person and we agree to get started right after lunch.

All during my waiting time I occupy myself by writing "Computer processing for dummies" so the client will at least have an easy step by step procedure to follow to perform the tasks. Why do I think they will need this? I am beginning to wonder if we will ever actually have training!

I write a process, complete with illustrations and diagrams for processing, code set up, maintenance, security... you name it, I wrote it.

During my brief conversations I would glean an itty bitty piece of information on the client needs. I would then go to the system and make the changes. I ended up making all the needed adjustments and modifications in their system. I am not sure how, but it got done. I knew if I waited for class participation it would probably never get done.

When it was time to leave, security couldn't find a taxi for me. Apparently there is some sort of system here and a central phone number. However, I believe when the taxi service found out it was me needing a ride, they all became busy with something else. I wonder if the story about my incident with the other taxi driver had spread.

Anyway, someone finally showed up and was very pleasant. Actually, all the taxi drivers have been pleasant, there was just that one fellow.

So, I get to leave and head back to the hotel. I have some time so I run to the room, change and head down to Bay Street. I browse in some stores, save all my money - which is amazing and head back to the hotel.

So much for the exciting day in the life of a trainer!
