Day one of the conference:

I have an easy day. I have only one class. Therefore, I decide to bother, I mean help in some other classes and sit in on them. I listen to Scott present in the HR overview class. He did a great job. He noticed I was sitting there with either my arms crossed or sitting on my hands. This was in an effort to keep from raising my hand to interject some additional information. Scott finally asked me for my ideas and the flood gates were opened. Of course I had things to say!

That night I ventured to the mall on my own. From a day of relative inactivity I felt I needed to get out and do something. How convenient I was able to do this in a mall! This is a good mall as they go, probably a score of 8 out of 10. It was huge. I did a lot of walking and unfortunately found a sale and bought some things I simply couldn't do without. Fortunately it wasn't a set of barstools, only sweaters - easy enough to get home. You may laugh at this, but I have this ridiculous tendency to buy things that are enormous. Usually these are things I could easily find at stores around home, but that doesn't stop me! One time I just had to buy some pillows I found in Marshalls - Four decorator pillows for the living room. These things were huge. I managed to stuff them in my suitcase though! I did a happy dance in my hotel room. Another time I found a bedspread I just had to have. I ended up mailing it home. There was not a chance in some dark hot place that was going to fit.
