Where I stayed
My house, last night for a month!
Busily packing up our backpacks, trying to make sure we haven't forgotten anything. Luckily our camcorder has a 60 gig hard drive, because the .mod files aren't compatible with Meri's mac. I would take my pc but it's a piece of shit. If pc's suck, and mac's aren't compatible, what the hell am I supposed to buy next? Well, I won't have to worry about that for awhile. The next $1,000 I make will go to pay off debts. Yay adulthood.
Packed in my 4500 cubic inch pack:
3 dresses
5 white v necks
5 tank tops
1 pair jeans

1 skirt
2 scarf

6 emergency ponchos
10 pair panties

2 pair shoes, Birks and tennis shoes
Toiletries
Blow dryer/straightener
Zip ties, zip lock bags
Baby wipes
Books, travel and otherwise

Travel pillow
First aid/laundry kit (pills, band-aids, purex laundry sheets, wrinkle reducer, Fabreze)

I think that's everything. Hope I didn't forget anything. If I did, it isn't like Europe is a third world country. Yes, I know it isn't even a country in the first place. We found out today our flight is delayed by thirty minutes. We'll land at 7:30 a.m. at Gatwick instead of 7 a.m. Hopefully that won't mess up our bus we have booked to go into the city. We'll make it work.
Tomorrow's itenerary: wake up at 8:45, go buy mailing tube, shower and get ready, freak out a little to make sure we have everything we could possibly need while still respecting the fact that we're carrying our homes on our back, leave here at 12:30 p.m., eat at La Fiesta Mexica, arrive at airport and tearfully kiss our parents goodbye before our flight takes off at 6:05 p.m. At some point there might be ice cream. Hey, it's $50 a day for the next 28 days, meaning eating bread and water. Ice cream is a last farewell to this 104 degree heat. Average temp for the countries we're visiting is 75. I can feel your jealousy already.
Got the international data plan for my Blackberry Storm. Unlimited email/browser/Blackberry messenger, $.50 to send a text, $.05 to receive one. $1.29/minute to make calls. Won't be doing that much. We'll be skypin' it up.
Finally sleep. I'll update on the accomodations on the plane.
