Well after a 6 hour drive kinda North West from Leduc near Edmonton we hit the Jasper National Park - better know as the Rockies! Jasper itself was a cute little Canadian town at the foot of the National Park.

The size of the mountains were awe inspiring and at times intimidating in size and stature!! Not too much snow yet as you can see from the pictures as winter has come particulary late this year! However it was still a bit on the chilly side!

Day 1 - We drove into Jasper and around the immediate area! Bought some tacky gifts in Jasper (friends watch out for tacky gifs heading your way) and headed to our wooden chalet for the night where we played pool - i won of course! The chalet itself was set at the foot of the mounties and gave a view of the rockies. We did endeavour in a bit of a dip in  hot tub. I hasten to add we were the only ones in it and i think the local construction workers that were staying at the chalets were looking at us like we were nuts! But who cares!

Day 2 - Woke up and Steve, Carla's Hubby, dragged me, ok not dragged i wanted to go but still - drag sounds better, up into the side hills! I'm sooooooooooooooo unfit - almost killed me, but it was good though unfortunately saw no wildlife as Rosie, Their dog, saw to that! After leaving the chalet we headed back into Jasper where we had a spot of breaky in a dodgy greek restaurant and we headed back up into the Rockies! We visited the ice fields, waterfalls and huge lakes that seem tyo go on forever. They do all have names but you know im **** with remembering stuff! Anyway after a day of driving and lots of "wows" we got back to little old Leduc! Anyway the pictues are better than me blabbering so enjoy!
