This next day in LA was a day without a real plan. I just knew that I wanted to see Venice Beach (since I didn't quite make it there last time) and we had tickets in the evening to see Jimmy Kimmel again.
It was another perfect day in LA weather-wise and we hopped on the metro bus to go down toward the beach.
We got off for a quick look at Santa Monica Pier. This looked like an old fashioned boardwalk with an old fashioned pinball arcade and ferris wheel. It looked like something out of the movie The Lost Boys. We grabbed a coffee and enjoyed a stroll down to the end of the pier before we headed back to the road to catch out bus a bit further along to Venice Beach.
When we arrived ten minutes later, I was so glad I finally had the chance to see this awesome beach. There were miles of little market stalls along the beautiful coastline. It was similar to Glenelg Beach in vibe but way bigger and with lots more freaks gettig about the place. There seemed to be a big stoner culture along this stretch of beach. Everyone here looked stoned. It could not have been a more beautiful day to see this beach. Unfortunately we had to race back to Hollywood way too soon to get to the taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show again.
When we arrived in Hollywood,we shipped the kids off to see a movie and went into the taping. This show was a much better show than the previous night's one. This time, the main guest was Seth Rogan and Director Michel Gondry, from the new movie The Green Hornet. The band was The Damned Things (made up of members of Anthrax and Fall Out Boy) and this episode is up for an Emmy thanks to Michel Gondry directing for the night. It was another fun night at this taping. Right after the show, we met up with the kids and went to the Hollywood Wax Museum and Guiness Book of Records. The wax museum was great fun. We took tons of photos of us in really stupid poses with the wax models and eventually gave up and went back to the hotel.

Time got away from us and before we knew it, it was after midnight. Thanks to the curfew, there was no point going back into Hollywood so we just hung around in the hotel until we went to bed.
