For our last day in Vegas, we were up and out by about 630 in the morning to catch our flights to Los Angeles.
We managed to get ourselves out of Vegas without any dramas, in fact, we realised as we were about to board the flight out of there, that we hadn't even put on one single bet during our stay. At least on my last trip I put on a couple of bets.
We arrived in our Beverly Hills hotel fairly early on a beautiful sunny LA day so as soon as we had settled in, we went for a nice long walk to Rodeo Drive, the very famous shopping district in Beverly Hills. The houses we saw along the way were beautiful, mostly Spanish looking houses. The main shopping area was immaculate and very expensive. We didn't really hang around long, just long enough to soak up the vibe and check out some famous parts of the steet (like where some of the scenes from Pretty Woman were filmed).
We stopped for a bite to eat at the Brighton Coffee Shop where I had a huuuuge burrito and a root beer. It was nice to have a long and lazy lunch after the craziness of the last few days had worn us out a bit.
After lunch, we just walked back to the hotel, grabbed some groceries, and Nik and the kids went and checked out the pool and had a quick Jacuzzi while I phoned home to my little Starry since I finally got my American cell phone to work for international calls (at last!).
The rest of the day was nice and lazy and just involved another trip to the shops to get some soda for the next few days (gotta get my Cherry Coke while I can).
This will be the last relaxing day for a while, the next three days are already mapped out in detail.
