So it's now about 260 days until we leave on our Stealth South America trip and it's finally booked in...well everything except the flights and the accommodation...actually only the tours are really booked but that's a big chunk of our trip!! A HUGE thank you to our amazing travel agent - Queenie - who got us some awesome deals on our tours. Of course a queen should be able to swing some pretty awesome deals, it's just what they do!

So first up we're booked on the Tucan Travel tour - Pacific to Atlantic (BXPA2) - which is a 70 day tour starting in Rio de Janeiro and finishing in Quito. During this tour we have the opportunity to do the Inca Trail and see Macchu Picchu which, of course, we're going to do. Might have to up the ante on the old treadmill from now on to make sure I'm fit enough to do this trek without suffering serious asthma attacks, or having to rest every few minutes! It's going to be the most amazing thing to experience, I (we) just can't wait. The other tour we booked is with Inrepid, starting in Mexico City and finishing in Playa del Carmen (which is about 45 minute drive from Cancun). This is only a 15 day tour but I reckon after 70 days on the other tour we'll gladly only spend 15 days on this one!! We get to see some pretty amazing things on the Mexican tour, including lots of cenotes which are amazing water holes, if you've never heard of them definitely look them up because they're phenomenal (plus I want to make you all jealous, haha). We've also booked our Carnivale package which means we've got accommodation in Rio & a ticket to the entrance of the Sambadrome for the amazing Carnivale - it's going to be an interesting experience and while I am scared of getting robbed hopefully the monopoly money I stash within eyeshot will distract them from my real money! There are so many amazing things we're going to see but I'll elaborate on the tours in another blog because I don't currently have my notes with me...which happen to resemble a small book with all the research I am doing.

Alanna and I have been researching where we want to go in between our tours; we have 5 days so we figured we may as well add another place to our "been to" list. We came up with two options, Cozumel (which is an island just off the Mexican coast of Cancun), and somewhere in Costa Rica. Well lucky I did my research again because turns out we have an option to go to Cozumel on our Mexico tour so our decision has been made for us...Costa Rica it is!! And I am quite pleased with this development because it's meant to be an amazing place and Alanna has discovered a fantastic place which is frequented by many hot surfers so guess we get to have our cake (Costa Rica) and eat it too (the surfers). What more could a girl want??

We won't be booking our flights until October so no need to worry about anything else for now, except we will continue to research until we have found the best deals on absolutely everything! No one can accuse us of being unorganised! The time really is flying until we leave and with that time comes many more emails, many (MANY) hours worked, and many excited moments we randomly have. Stay tuned...
