We had breakfast in the hotel today which we were chuffed about as we had not had a proper breakfast in weeks! In China our breakfasts mainly consisted of food from the bakery! We filled our boots and had everything inc cereal and milk, toast, croissants, bacon, egg, pancakes and fresh fruit!
For our last day in Bangkok, we decided to use our free time by having a look around the local street markets, we took a tuk tuk to Khaosan Road and had a look around the many clothes, jewellery and food stalls. The street food here is lush and its all cooked in front of you. We treated ourselves to a fresh fruit smoothie, again its all made fresh infront of you and you pick the fruit from the stall that you want in the smoothie.
The weather here is very hot at the moment , the locals are very nice and friendly and there are many backpackers like us so we dont feel out of place. Prices are cheap for food, clothes and transport, however food can be a bit more expensive in the restaurents compared to the supermarkets, Tuk tuks are a good mode of transport costing around a pound but we had to hold on tightly as they weave in and out of the traffic at very fast speeds! I bought a T-shirt for around 2pound and we had a dish of food last night for around 1 pound 6 pence.
We left the hotel at 6pm for the train station, where we caught an overnight train that took 12 hours taking us down to Ao Nang, Krabi, where hopefully we can hit some beaches!
