My UK adventure has started. Classes have ended for the summer and I have bid farewell to all my new friends and mentors at Sussex Uni. It was really sad to leave the beautiful bay-side city of Brighton behind, but all good things must come to an end so more good things may take their place! I'm feeling a little under the weather and don't have much time left on the internet so I can't make this as lengthy as I would like. Today I visited some Roman ruins and saw some castles here in Newport, Wales and tomorrow I head out on a train to Edinburgh, Scotland for a few days.

There is a lot to reflect upon that has happened this summer, and it will be interesting to see how it has affected me when I get back to the US and return to "normal" life. All my other friends who went home after first session ended halfway through the summer say it's more difficult adjusting than you'd expect.

Wales is beautiful. The hills and the greenery are too much to explain without pictures. Last night there was torrential rain, which is why I suppose it's so green around here, but it was nice to relax in my tiny bed and breakfast room and listen to the rain hit the roof while I sipped english tea and watched the olympics. It was the first alone-time where I was able to relax that I've had in a while.

More to come in the following days as I get more internet access.

Cheers!
