At the beginning of May, Kyle and I and our friend Laura, flew from Paris to Casablanca. Even with all the internet research that we did before our trip, nothing could have prepared us for our 10 day adventure in Morocco. We spent our first night at a hotel just inside the old medina walls, and walking distance to the Hassan II Mosque, the world's 3rd largest mosque. We explored the outside of the mosque that evening and watched the sun set over the Atlantic. The next morning we took a guided tour of the mosque which really blew our minds. There was so much beauty to be seen in the detail of the tile work, windows, and wood carvings. We felt very fortunate to take part in the tour, as most mosques are not open to the public.
