A few weekends ago we rented a car and took a long weekend road trip to The Netherlands. Driving through the countryside was a treat in itself because many of the fields were full of flowers, especially tulips and hyacinth.
In Amsterdam, we took two walking tours run by New Europe.( http://www.newamsterdamtours.com/nat/ )The first being a free (3 hour) tour giving general information about the city, its history, and so on. Later on we took an evening tour of the Red Light District! Both tour guides were funny and energetic and had lots of interesting stories to share. We would really recommend trying either of these tours.
Less than an hour drive from Amsterdam is Holland's largest tulip garden, Keukenhof Garden. ( http://www.keukenhof.nl/ )This place really impressed us, the colors, varieties, scents, and tranquility really took our breath away.
Enjoy the photos and look forward to our upcoming blog on Morocco!
