Day 5: Rode front and center on a double decker bus to Waterloo Station and took a train to Salisbury. Rode on a tour bus to Stone Henge. Unimpressed to see a highway built not far from the site. But the stones themselves were magical. Walked around and took pictures for a few hours. Listened to audio-guides on headsets, very interesting. Apparently still lots of unanswered questions. I should have counted the number of times we heard the phrase, "But why......?" followed by eerie music. A nice local lady helped us find our campsite after we had been dropped off back in town. We watched the sun set over the rolling green countryside. Had a terrible night's sleep-very cold with no real blankets to speak of. Used rain jackets, but still, brrrrr.

Day 6: They have shredded wheat with raisins on the inside here in the UK. That's what we ate for breakfast. Took a river-side walk into town, lots of little cottages and more swans! I thought these were fairytale fauna?! We bought a light-weight sleeping bag to use a blanket and two tiny tripod seats that fold up. Ate a picnic lunch on the green of the Salisbury Cathedral, perfect.
