Began the day with yoga on the deck – perfect! Then Paul and I walked to a grocery store to pick up a few more foodstuffs – including alcohol, which they would not sell to us yesterday, being a Sunday.
Spent the remainder of the morning drinking coffee, reading books, watching the octopus – now named Elmer, with the nickname of Spud – a tube fish, an angel fish, and a large puffer fish … just generally relaxing. Clear weather, lovely breeze, not too hot. Aaah.
After lunch, everyone but Ann and I went snorkeling on the reef – transported by the Liki giant clams (with iridescent blue mouths), a strange starfish-like creature, and lovely colorful fish.
The afternoon was spent visiting the Internet café, grocery shopping, and relaxing.
Late afternoon, we had cocktail hour at our condo. We made tasty mango-rum drinks, then we had 50th anniversary mad-libs. Some were vaguely amusing; some were pretty fun. Some made no sense. But it was entertaining nonetheless.
We split up, so that everyone could have dinner. We were so full from all the cheese and crackers, however, that we didn't really want to eat. Keegan had leftovers – but that was it.
We then spent some time staring at the stars, then began acting silly (who, us?) Soon, Allie came over, and the kids spent a full hour telling very, very bad jokes – mainly nonsensical Knock-Knock jokes.
I was very tired and lay down in the dark, trying not to listen to the absurdities around me.
