After a few hours of sleep we drove into Yellowstone National Park.  It was amazing.  A few miles in we were stopped along the road by a huge herd of buffalo crossing the street. The huge male was just sitting in the middle of the road stopping traffic while the herd ate the grass along the road. All I wanted from Yellowstone was to see buffalo so I was a happy girl. From there we drove all through the eastern and northern part of the park. We saw a brown bear cub on the side of the road.  I'm going to let most of the pictures speak for themselves. We saw so much and spent about 9 hours in the park.    You could see the places where forrest fires have affected the park.   As we were leaving the park a herd of Elk decided they wanted to cross the road so we got to see Elk up close.   It was great because you can get really close to the animals (there's a park ranger there keeping everyone safe and making sure you don't get too close)  We went out the west enterence and stayed just outside the park in W. Yellowstone, Montana.  That's the eleventh state in 5 days!
Today we're off to finish the park (including old faithful) then head down to Grand Teton National Park on our way to Utah.  We'll be camping a lot once we get into Utah so I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to update everyone.  Also- my phone broke yesterday!  It's held together with duct tape and is currently working but who knows if that will hold up.  Yesterday I sent out a bunch of postcards from Mt Rushmore and the Badlands to the kids in my life (McGuires, Colliers, Caplans, Kaplans) and I realized hours later that I forgot to address them!!  I'm sorry, I was working on about 2 hours of car sleep. . . Some of them I put partial addresses so I hope they still make it.  Josh, Jodi and mr. man- I didn't put anything so you won't be getting that one.  :(  Sorry!  More to come though, promise!
Hope everyone is doing well!
