What I did
Walked Yuemeikang Waterfall
Yuemeikang Waterfall along Dezikou River walk is
- easy and beautiful
- 45 minutes one way
- towards the end a bit more difficult walk. With low water you can reach the waterfall with your shoes on. With higher water you might have to take the shoes off at 2 or 3 places.
- For more description see the photos in sequence of walk.
- Get there: Take the tourist bus from Jiaochi train station to Wufengchi Waterfall stop
Other hikes from there:
- To Christian Church ( 20 t030 min )and another 3 hours ( Shengmu- meaning Maria- Hiking Trail ) to a Christian cross on mountain at 800m ( Shengmu village - Shengmu Shanchuang ). From there several trails branch off, leading to different points along the No 9 road between Pingling and Jioachi. Nearby the 800m mountain top is also another mountain at 1029m called Sanchiaolun Shan.
- On Yuemeikang trail take branch trail off to left ( near Tudigung shrine ) - Shipan trail, connecting this valley to another nature park ( Lingmeishipan trail ) a bit further to the South.
