4th day, After yesterday's excitement we decided to have a lie in. We had no plans for the day really apart from possible walking around central park and Billy Elliot at night. I didn't want to repeat my previous efforts of sitting through a Broadway show. Maximum sleep would have been ideal, but of course my brain had other plans. I woke up at 7 and failing to force my self back to sleep i logged online.

4 hours later i had uploaded all my photos, finally managed to complete my atrip route from London to New York and talk to my mum before Nicky woke up. Once dressed and out the hotel our plans to go to central park bailed when we realized that we had not seem the river on the east side yet. We walked in a massive circle before deciding no only do we want food but we want it from south sea port. We had visited this on our last visit and fell in love. The only problem is neither of us remembered where it was. Standing on 73rd street by the east river we started to walk down knowing that we would eventually come across the port. 1 1/2 later still walking we got out the map, at 17st we still had to walk 17 blocks and more. Subway time!!!!

We finally sat to eat at 2:30 i had tacos, Nicky had steak baguette. We were due to eat again at 5:30 so we then hurried off to time square to seek out Billy's theatre and shop for souvenirs. To be honest it felt like all we had done is move to the square to sit down for another meal. We found the theatre really quickly and then bought patches as our new york collectibles. We took some pictures in Times square to bide our time. Nicky was just excited about this as me now she has her new camera.

Back to food we stood in line for planet Hollywood, but after being seated changed our minds after seeing prices and left to stand in line at TGI. This turned out to be just as expensive, but as we knew we were guaranteed an amazing meal we stayed.

Throughout the meal we were contemplating how Billy was going to differ from London to New york. As predicted the accent was very wobbly, the kids performing better that the adults. Billy was played by Jacob Clemente, he was amazing! It was weird seeing totally different cast playing the parts we have come to know and love in a totally different way. There was quite a few scene changes and jokes seemed to be over explained. I believe the London show is a lot better and funnier!!!

I was surprised to hear later in the a bar that Americans don't understand the word wanker. We noticed this had been totally missed out of the show. After meeting 2 guys we asked them if they knew what it meant they said "erm......is it a wine taster" as tempted as i was to say yes, i said no. Also if you were wondering instead of fanny they say hoohoo.

WE arrived back at our hotel later that we thought we would, went for pizza with our new friends after the bar. It was our last night in New York though.....FLORIDA tomorrow. Well at least we are starting our 24 hour bus ride to Florida tomorrow.
