I arrived in Barcelona at dinner time (Spanish schedule, which means it was about 10 PM), and after creatively tying my little bag to my huge backpack so that I could actually handle all my luggage, I hopped on the bus to downtown Barcelona.  My hostal was wonderful--clean, very new looking, and QUIET!  So, after getting all settled in, I SLEPT.  That's really the highlight.

The next day I just wandered around Barcelona.  I ended back up at the hostal a couple hours before I needed to catch my bus so I jumped on-line for awhile.  Apparently that "while" was longer than I thought because before I knew it, it was (slightly passed) time to go.  So, I rushed to get my luggage and a taxi and worried about being late all the way to the bus station.  I mentioned to the taxi driver that I was a little late, and I he really took it to heart--I think he may have ran a red light!  You see, we were sitting nice and legally at a red light.  I noticed that the green walk sign turned red, and the next thing I knew, we were moving.  I glanced to the right and I'm pretty darn sure that the light hadn't turned green yet.  It was getting there, but not quite yet.  My suspicions were a little more confirmed when we stopped at the red light on the next block and the cab driver that was sitting next to us at the previous block stared my cab driver down.  Hard.  Continuously.  I felt like my cab driver had broken a "good cab driver" unspoken rule (not to mention the not so unspoken rule of not driving through red lights)!

Well, I made it to the bus station with about 10 minutes until my bus was suppose to leave.  After reading some signs that gave me WRONG information, I went to the information desk (5 minutes and counting) and they told me the right information--and luckily my platform was literally right outside the door.  *Phew!*  Okay, so I threw my luggage into the bottom of the bus and stood in line to get on.  While waiting, I heard another lady tell the driver that she was going to Castellon (where I was going), and he told her that she needed to put her luggage on the other side of the bus.  Wonderful.  So, I went to get my stuff out from under the the bus to take it to the other side.  Not a good idea.  The driver saw me and, I guess, thought I was stealing it.  Fabulous.  So, I went up and explained that I was going to Castellon.  "You're going to Castellon?" was his response.  "Yes," I said.  "Put your bags on the other side."  Duh.  That's what I was doing.  Goodness.  At least I know they watch out for people stealing bags out of the bottom of buses!

So, after that rush of making it on time and being half-accused of being a thief, I was relieved to be calmly sitting on my bus on my 4 hour ride down south.

Yea, I don't know who that guy is, but he wouldn't get out of the way. Annoying tourists. . . :)
