Prague is an amazing city, and I would highly recommend the Free Walking Tour. It's a 3 hour tour that takes you around Prague, and gives you an overall picture of Prague's History. Our tour guide Lauren was very sweet and knowledgeable. It was hard to conceptualize how recent the Czech Republic became a democratic nation, with the 1989 Velvet Revolution and the fall of the communist control. Apparently it is now the third most peaceful country in Europe. Here are some other random facts: Contact lenses and the sugar cube were invented in the Czech Republic. Just some random knowledge in case you are ever on a game show. Who Knows.
