We have spent the past two days in
Rishikesh, just north of Haridwar on the Ganges River. Rishikesh is where the Ganga flows out of the Himalayas so in addition to the heat, we now have added hills to the mix. It is beautiful here, although it has been pretty overcast. Lisa wanted to title this note "I see white people" because there are so many westerners here for the yoga, trekking and general hippiness of the town. Yesterday we slept in and then Negi took us to the market. Only he brought us to the Indian market where we could buy men's shoes and ugly imported Chinese stuff instead of the tourist market with the cool stuff we want--plus it was a million degrees and noon.
