Where I stayed
We are in Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, India, staying at a hotel called the Pugmark. When we got to the hotel after a long day of driving, we were greeted by friendly hotel staff that handed us mango juice. In the background, while we were checking-in we could here the sound of traditional Indian music being played by entertainers just around the corner. We walked to our rooms on a small brick walkway through the pretty landscape of the Pugmark. The rooms, which are more like little cottages, are great(they have A/c) and Jackson, Jon and I got our own and our parents got the other. You know that could really turn out a mess... which it did but not in the way that you think. When we walked, in we threw down our bags, and went to dinner, all except for Jackson...he fell asleep. The food at dinner was good, there was a stir-fry in the courtyard and a buffet inside. Then we went back to the rooms for a restful night of sleep. Yeah, real funny, NOT RESTFUL! We were called multiple times in the night...I think the hotel people really wanted us to get an early start in the safari! Which we did, because they called us for a wake-up call at 5:45. We, or at least I,sadly got out of bed, even though I wanted to go on the safari....why can't those animals like the heat of the day?We crammed tea and cookies down, and jumped on a safari truck. The Ranthambore safari trucks have no roof or windows, so people can see the animals especially well! It was a bumpy ride to the park for Dad and I, we were sitting in the very back ,envying the rest of the family who were in the front with the drive...that is until we started seeing things in the park. We have seen 5 tigers(one for each family member) wild peacocks(SCARY! just kidding) lots and lots of monkeys, samba and spotted deer, antelope, alligator, birds, boars and mabey a wild dog. talk about good sightings! We are sad to say dad, can you belive it...tough old dad got sick on the last safari...he's better now. Talking of old, its his birthday soon(March 24) wish him Happy Birthday! I miss you all but I have to go...the pool is calling me! Love Katie:)
P.S- comment ALOT i like reading them ....I will be VERY SAD if i have less than 20! LOL:)

We loved your message Katie. I felt like I saw the SCARY tigers myself.
The Erbens are here for Spring Break and I read them all the notes we are receiving. They laughed and enjoyed the stories.

20 for Katie
I just want to do my part in helping Katie get at least 20 comments re her fantastic entry about the safari. I rather doubt I will ever have the opportunity of going on safari but thanks to Katie, I felt like I was there with you.
Katie is a gifted writer. What a privilege to share in this singular adventure.
I am friends with your Krupnick grandparents and have been since Jack was 3 years old.

Rooaarr!
What a great entry. I wish that we could be there with you on safari. We just got back from spring break so we're a little behind on entries. I am dying to go to that hotel and then see all the animals. We went on a very adventurous journey ourselves for SB. First we went to Chattanooga to see the aquariums there. Then we headed to the jungle known as Atlanta to see family and the aquarium there. We also went to see the Terra Cotta Army. That was fantastic! I think you would have really liked it. I was thinking about you yesterday. I had to choose some pictures to go into the auction program and I chose one of you and Victoria and Robyn on spirit day. You all looked really cute! I hope they use it. Tell your whole family hello. Spencer's birthday was yesterday (31st). We are celebrating this weekend and wish Jon were here. Oh well, he'll be here for many birthday celebrations to come. Have a great time! We miss you.

Good joy Katie; very descriptive writing ; I felt the action.
Isn;t the music of India captivating??
How far are you in reaching your 20 comments; no matter just keep trecking and writing such interespting comments. Hope you are all taking photos; but then you are Krupnick;s and 'if there isn't a photo it did;t happen.
Everytime I listen to the music of India my cats jump up on the computer.
Take care,
great writing Katie!
I just read your blog, I can really imagine what your trip must feel like! I love reading about it! Mema and Papa were here for Easter. They walked 10 miles with Veronica and Destiny on a pilgrimage to a magic healing church, called Chimayo, on Good Friday. We all had a great visit, and we thought and talked about all of you lots! I'm happy you are having such a great adventure!
Love from half way around the world!
