This morning we flew into Syndey from Brisbane. Once in Syndey, we dropped our stuff at the hotel aand started doing some serious exploring. We went to Chinatown, went shopping, went to a really authentic lunch, Mike got a backrub in the mall while the rest of us shopped around nearby. Then we walked around the shopping area on George St (sort of like 5th Ave in NYC) and checked out some historic buildings including a REALLY fancy mall called the Queen Victoria mall in an old building. After that, we walked to the historic Rocks district, where we saw the first building ever built in Sydney (from when the beach was another 100 meters inland. Next to it were a whole bunch of other historic buildings that had been refurbished and turned into shops. That night we met up with Murray and Nadia again (sans Arabel) and had a great dinner and shared a recap of our adventures with them. Even though, we covered a lot of ground on this trip, we barely scratched the surface of all the stuff there is to see and do in this country! Tomorrow afternoon we head back home...
