Drove a bit to the South East, and went to the Australia Zoo today. It was pretty cool, got a chance to pet some wombats (they are the size of medium dogs), as well as play with big kangaroos! Maddy was thrilled to interact up close with the big 'roos, and the rest of us were too. We also saw lots of crocs and other animals too. The Aussie Zoo is owned by Steve Irwin's family, and has become even more popular since he was killed by a stingray a few years back. Then we continued down to Brisbane and returned our rental car (a challenge, due to road construction), found a hotel, and confirmed our flights for tomorrow to Sydney.
