Going back to my ice cold country :-(

After checking all my belongings I found out that a few hundred Norwegian kroners from my toiletry case were missing. I had rolled the Norwegian money into a tiny cylinder and put it furthest away in my closed toiletry case, and someone had stolen it. My other things appeared to have been moved around and opened as well. I went to speak to the manager at the hotel and she was less than happy to hear about it. She was very professional about it though, and told me to give her 30 mins to check who had access to my room. She came back with my money in an envelope, telling me that the guard on the nightshift had 'found' the money outside my room. I told her that was an impossibility and she believed me. I had given him my key in the morning and he had the whole hotel to himself, so I guess the temptation was too big, knowing I'd be gone all day. I got my money back so I'm happy, but it was still a negative experience. I also found out that some of my used underwear was missing when I started packing!!!! I didn't report that - I really didn't want that underwear back!
The last day of St. Lucia, I relaxed at the beach before we had to take a taxi to the airport. It was the last we saw of St. Lucia, but the drive to the airport was nice. St. Lucia is truly a gorgeous place.
Safely back home in Oslo, I couldn't even find my own car on the street where I'd left it. Lol! It had snowed in and I had to dig it out for 2 hours... Talk about less than a smooth transition! (My dog, Chili was quite happy about all the snow though so I took her for a long walk in the woods and I soon forgot about the cold seeing how enthusiastic Chili was playing in the snow!)
I'll go back to the Caribbean and explore more one day....
