restaurant...felt something resonating with the name of that restaurant. We enjoyed the Chelsea Market where i experienced the store Anthropology
, and yes, it is as good as they say. We trekked a portion of the Hi-Line
, an old overhead train track renovated into cityscape of green space for all to enjoy. It was a treat to visit Ethan at his office where he is a Creative Director for a prominent ad agency. They have a trendy NYC office with rooftop patios where they host big wig clients and have an amazing view of the city, oh, and a ping pong table too. Lori treated me to a Broadway show; La Cage a Follies – which is the live theatre version of a movie you may remember called, The Birdcage
. Good times….yes, very good times.
One of the funniest moments was a comment Ethan made comment after i shared a phrase I recently learned (courtesy of Barbara) that goes: "If you want to make God laugh, show him your plans." Ethan, wiity chap, quickly followed up with, "He must down right piss himself when he sees Lori's organizer." See photo for the laugh. You kids are a blast...Cheerio!
Then...off to JFK airport to take the overnight, over-the-pond flight to Casablanca, Morocco....first time abroad.
July 22 - 25: New York was wonderful! So great to visit with friends Lori (friends since 16) and Ethan (her husband again. We have not seen each other for about 4 years. They have a charming home in a quiet and hilly neighborhood in upper Manhattan, where we could walk to a vey picturesque park and eat at the quaint and delicious
