So, I made it! It was not an easy journey from Toronto to Seoul South Korea. Here is how it went: We flew out of Toronto at 11:50pm on January 30th. We headed North West, over the Yukon, Alaska and Russia before heading South to Korea. It was about a 14hr flight. We flew into Seoul at about 3:30am on January 1st. So basically I lost a day and did not really have a New Years. There was about an hour and a half bus ride to the city where I am staying in the Anam District of Seoul.
My room is as tiny as a closet, but it's nice. In my room, there is a shower room with a sink and toilet, a wardrobe, computer desk, a tiny fridge and a television. There are about 20 of these rooms on the floor. There are some common areas on each floor. There is a tiny kitchenette with noodles kimchi and eggs for everyone. There is also a computer with internet access. I feel very safe here because each floor has a code to get in, and we have keys to our rooms.
We traveled around by subway today, which was a little overwhelming. We went to Dongdaemun Market and went to a shopping center. Liz and I went walking and got a picture of Seoul tower.
Anyways, time for bed.
Happy New Year Everyone!
